Oh, I see you went digging.
Needless to say, I left a lot to be desired on the home page given, lets face it, I like to reward people who look for things and most people who statistically look at this page wont go exploring. Interpert this as my reward for going deeper.
"Why does your page look like this? It burnt my eyes"
Truth be told: I love maximalism. If you have ever read those "I spy" books by Walter Wick, seen the show "Crashbox", or know of interactive art installations/collectives like MeowWolf or Otherworld you might be familar with the type of visual clutter I am talking about. I have become rather jaded by this idea that all things from homes to webpages need to look nice, neat, sleek, and uniform like a dentist's office. It is devoid of personality and while somewhat usable, isnt very fun. I want to be able to have a space where I can just be myself and display my personalty through visual clutter and whimsy. I would much rather show you than tell you. And through all the hidden sub-pages, like this one, you will get to know who "me" is in a much more abstract sense, how it is meant to be. I am not a easily navigatable person as some of you who actually know me already know. There are chaotic nonsensical layers to me just like there is to this website. I modeled this space after old geocities pages and myspace since back during that time in he internet, you could actually customize your pages. You could make them cluttered and chaotic. I miss that clutter. And I am ok with my page being eyebleed, because I myself am eyebleed. That isnt a bad thing.
"Why did you join the SCA?"
To be quite frankly honest; I was in college and some acquaintances of mine told me that this was a thing they did and to come visit them at the involvement fair. At that point I did not really have a lot of friends mostly because I was one of those "commute to class then leave" students so I really was not getting a lot of real socialzation. And like many college students I thought seeing guys in armor beat each other was badass so I began to hang around. Before I did not come around much due to more of that same "commute then leave" type stuff but began to hang around more and really liked the group I was around. They frustrate me sometimes, I bet I also frustrate them. But they are the reason I stuck with this. And the people I met through them inspire me to keep on keeping on.
"Are you Loyal to Midrealm and its crown?"
Yes. Draco Invictus.
"So you are a bard, what do you play?"
As for insturments I own a Hurdy Gurdy, Kokle (Baltic Box zither), Trombone, Jaw Harp (Dan Moi and a Vargan), Violin, Didgeridoo, drums (not a set), and I got some pipes on me as well. I will admit, my skills are not proficant in all these things and some of them have gotten worse due to me not playing them in awhile. My goal at the end of the day is to become as proficant as I can in all of them or at least in the Hurdy Gurdy and Kokle as these were the largest investments I have made musically. I dream to own a better Hurdy Gurdy (one not made by Gallopin Gurdies), a Nyckelharpa, a serpant, Portative organ, and a horsehead fiddle. I do not know when I will be able to do that. But it is something I would like to do.
"Team Green or Black?"
Black.
